My name is Kiera Watkins—author, creative, and founder of Lucid Domain. I’m a woman who’s known struggle, healing, and the power of telling your truth. I created Lucid Domain as a sacred space for transformation—where words become a balm, stories become bridges, and healing becomes art.
For years, I found myself searching for peace in the middle of chaos. Through writing, I discovered not just survival—but reflection, surrender, and purpose. I began to share my journey publicly, not because I had all the answers, but because I knew what it felt like to walk through fire and still rise with grace.

My Story
Lucid Domain exists to empower others—especially Black and Brown souls—to return to themselves through storytelling. Whether it’s a children’s book showing a young Black girl her beauty or a blog post that holds space for growth and grief, everything I create is rooted in honesty, resilience, and self-discovery.
I’m a mother and the middle daughter of seven—a position that taught me early on how to hold many truths at once, how to listen closely, and how to find my voice in the in-between. I started writing as a child, long before I understood what healing was. But I knew I needed a place to put the things I couldn’t say out loud. Writing became that place.
Much of my work is shaped by the realities I’ve lived through—grief, trauma, love, and transformation. Those experiences didn’t break me; they built the foundation of my art. My pen has always been a protest, a prayer, and a promise to never abandon myself.
Today, I’m not just writing—I’m building. Lucid Domain is expanding to offer services in editing, consulting, ghostwriting, and creative support for those ready to bring their own stories to life. Whether you’re writing a book, journaling your way through a season, or just learning to speak your truth, I’m here to help.
I believe healing isn’t always pretty—but it’s necessary. I write for the women rediscovering their power. For the men learning how to forgive themselves. For the creatives craving a safe space to bloom. My mission is simple: to remind you that your story matters, and your voice is enough.
We believe in the power of family, community, and storytelling. We create relatable literature for youth and adults, grounded in real-life experiences and cultural authenticity. For adults, we also offer life coaching rooted in spiritual practice, alongside reflective and empowering blog content.
As a licensed Spiritual Practitioner, I offer guidance and support—but please note, these sessions are not a substitute for medical advice.
