Retainer Scope
The Editorial Support Retainer provides structured, month-to-month editorial support for writers, founders, and thought leaders who already create written content and want it refined with clarity and intention.
This retainer is designed for clients who value consistency, clear boundaries, and high-quality editorial feedback—without the disruption of one-off projects or on-demand expectations. Work is edited for tone, flow, structure, and cohesion, with light rewrites where necessary to strengthen the final piece while preserving the original voice.
The focus is refinement, not creation. Drafts must be reasonably complete at the time of submission.
Availability is limited to maintain quality and sustainability
This retainer supports existing written work only and does not include writing from scratch, strategy, or marketing services.
The Editorial Support Retainer provides monthly editing and revision support for existing written drafts only. All submissions must be reasonably complete at the time they are shared.
Editorial Support Retainer Policy
This retainer includes editing for clarity, tone, structure, and flow, with light rewrites where necessary. It does not include writing from scratch or ghostwriting, content strategy, marketing or SEO services, research-heavy writing, formatting, publishing, or distribution. Requests outside of scope will be declined or quoted separately.
Monthly Volume
The retainer includes up to four (4) written pieces per month. Submissions should be spaced reasonably throughout the billing cycle. Unused submissions do not roll over to future months.
Turnaround & Revisions
Standard turnaround is 48–72 business hours per submission, excluding weekends and holidays. Each submission includes one (1) round of revisions. Additional revisions or changes outside the original scope may be declined or billed separately. Rush or emergency requests are not available under this retainer.
Communication
Primary communication takes place via email. Daily messaging, on-demand access, or real-time collaboration are not included. An optional monthly check-in may be scheduled if needed.
Payment & Term
The retainer fee is $2,000 per month, billed in advance. All payments are non-refundable. The retainer operates on a month-to-month basis and may be terminated by either party with 14 days written notice.
Availability
Retainer availability is limited. Submission of an intake form does not guarantee acceptance.
